Role Overview

As a Senior or Principal Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering mass transit and mobility projects that transform the lives of millions of people worldwide.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced rail industry expert to join our team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of rail service timetabling, demand for services, and infrastructure capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the growth of Ireland's thriving rail sector.

Mission and Objectives
  • Manage small projects, with opportunities to lead larger initiatives with guidance from the team.
  • Provide advisory services on the benefits of rail in land use and transport planning, mobility hubs, and transit-oriented developments.
  • Actively participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and partners to find consensus-based solutions.
  • Collaborate to ensure project objectives are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare technical documents and reports, including design deliverables, with support from specialist engineering disciplines as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Level 8 degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. A Master's Degree (Level 9) is preferred but not essential.
  • Progressing towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) MIEI or equivalent recognized professional qualification is necessary.
  • Proven ability to prepare scheme option selection reports aligned with Transport Appraisal Framework or similar guidance is essential.
  • Experience supporting schemes through Railway Order or Transport and Works Act Order processes is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Project Supervision Design Process and/or UK CDM 2015 Regulations is advantageous.
  • An understanding of the relationship between rail service timetabling, demand for services, and infrastructure capacity is highly desirable.
