Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

This position is located in Castlebar and forms part of a team of 5 quality professionals. The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager.

About the Role:

  • Manage compliance with company policies and customer guidelines for production and testing.
  • Apply and uphold Customer and quality requirements by updating procedures, work instructions, and forms as well as reviewing customer specifications.
  • Develop and enhance methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Lead and participate in internal, external, customer, and regulatory quality audits.
  • Support supplier management activities including supplier validation, auditing, and monitoring.
  • Analyse process control data and contribute to the development of protocols and reports for process validation activities.
  • Conduct material inspections and certification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering (Level 8), a related Engineering discipline or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant skills and abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ISO standards required, AS and ISO standards preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications related to quality including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Minitab.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
