Job Overview

Galway's most iconic hotel is seeking a Front Desk Professional to provide exceptional service and ensure a memorable stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and guest enquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Resolve guest issues, feedback, or complaints effectively.
  • Manage email queries and delegated tasks.
  • Maintain high standards during busy periods.
  • Drive sales opportunities and deliver exceptional front desk service.
  • Manage emergencies, including the Hotel Fire Panel.
  • Liaise with other departments and teams.
  • Manage billing, invoicing, and financial transactions accurately.
  • Receive or redirect deliveries and manage front desk correspondence.
  • Monitor compliance with guidelines and policies.
  • Support management strategies for guest reviews and feedback.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a hotel reception role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well-organised with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills.
  • Fluent English (essential).
  • A proactive team player with flexibility to work shifts.
