Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health and Safety Professional to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, codes, standards, and industry best practice.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety procedures and policies, ensuring their implementation and maintenance throughout the organization.
  • Conduct regular site visits to identify potential hazards and provide guidance on risk assessments, training needs analysis, PPE surveys, and occupational health and hygiene surveys.
  • Investigate all accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Compile monthly reports on incidents and accidents for management review.
  • Collaborate with external medical and occupational health resources to identify, control, and inform employees on site occupational health hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all relevant health and safety documentation using our software and electronic filing system.
  • Monitor and review site-specific health and safety key performance indicators.
  • Provide training and support for staff at all levels on health and safety issues and responsibilities, including induction.
  • Publish regular communications highlighting health and safety issues and best practices.

Your Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a health and safety role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
