Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

As a pivotal member of the EHS team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's compliance with environmental health and safety regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with all environmental regulatory requirements for the site, including documentation and reporting necessities.
  • Contribute to environmental sustainability and innovative efficiency initiatives for the site.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for environmental compliance onsite.
  • Participate in all EHS audits and inspections, internal and external.
  • Design and deliver on-site EHS training programs.
  • Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the EHS Management System.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of EHS legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating in Ireland/Europe.
  • Operational Safety Experience: Safe Systems of Work.
  • Able to logically solve complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with good ability to produce technical reports.

Education and Experience:
  • Dip/BS/BA in Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an EHS role within the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
