The Role

We need a skilled Junior Quantitative Analyst to join our Model Validation Team, which is responsible for challenging credit models used within the company to ensure they are appropriate. You will use statistical techniques and data analytics tools to review and challenge the models being used within the organization.

The role involves:

  • Using statistical techniques and data analytics tools to review and challenge the models being used within the organization
  • Challenging modelling teams and business areas in the company to ensure the models are robust and compliant with regulations and policies
  • Working with business units to promote and deliver a best-in-class analytics service consistent with their needs
  • Actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow within the role

You will work closely with more senior analysts to deliver projects within the Model Validation function and contribute to the constant improvement of our standards and methodologies.

What you will bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant third-level qualification or postgraduate qualification in an analytical discipline, such as statistics, actuarial science, financial mathematics, or econometrics.

You should also have a natural inclination to challenge established ways of thinking and be able to articulate your opinion. Knowledge of coding for statistical analysis (e.g. SAS) is an advantage.
