About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished procurement expert to spearhead our purchasing operations. As a senior procurement professional, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency and quality in engineering output, overseeing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate purchasing activities across the organization
  • Support the project manager in defining and implementing the divisional purchasing strategy
  • Develop and implement group-wide and division-wide material management systems
  • Optimize replenishment times and implement a multi-supplier strategy
  • Ensure timely availability of materials
  • Optimize stock levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Lead initiatives to reduce material costs
  • Manage and develop the purchasing department team
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing methods and tools
  • Take responsibility for purchasing control and ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement management
  • Solid understanding of procurement strategies and best practices
  • Educated to degree level or hold relevant qualifications coupled with extensive experience
