Electrical Installation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced electrical installation specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our major projects in Cork. This role involves working on municipal, industrial wastewater treatment plants and drinking water treatment plants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work complies with Irish electrical regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Cable containment and cabling installations for electrical upgrade works on general services, site lighting, motors, pumps and instrumentation.
  • Installation of or replacement of MCC panels (Form 2 & Form 4) and general services distribution panels.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other team members to ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices.
Key Competencies and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including general services, emergency lighting, control panels, motors and PLCs.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of National Rules for Electrical Installations (I.S. 10101:2020).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified electrical trade certs.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
  • Full EU/Irish driving licence.
