Job Description

The role of Logistics and Purchasing Officer is a key position within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, services, and information from raw materials to end customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing purchase orders to ensure accurate product pricing and discounts.
  • Setting up products, including descriptions, dimensions, and weight, in our inventory management system.
  • Liaising with Product Coordinators/Designers to ensure smooth operations and efficient supply chain management.
  • Coordinating shipping schedules and deliveries with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Collaborating with Shipping Agents/Forwarders for customs clearance and follow-up queries.
  • Updating shipping intake schedules as needed, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Conducting cost valuation exercises to ensure maximum value for our business.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding promptly to phone calls and completing ad hoc tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience using ERP systems, specifically in purchasing and logistics.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent customer service standards and high levels of communication.
  • Previous experience in shipments, imports, or exports is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel reporting, and strong numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
