Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain our large-scale SQL Server environments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team and play a key role in the successful operation of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate multiple SQL Server upgrades as part of significant data centre migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee the development of SQL Server instances across our global estate, ensuring compliance with best practices and security policies at all times.
  • Monitor the health and performance of the SQL Server environment to identify potential issues and implement proactive solutions to prevent disruptions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain database support utilities, scripts, and tools that streamline operational processes and improve system efficiency.
  • Forecast future storage capacity requirements by analyzing current usage trends and collaborating with other technical teams to ensure adequate resources are allocated.
  • Establish, document, and uphold best practices and procedures throughout the SQL Server estate to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
  • Provide timely and effective operational support for critical incidents involving SQL Servers, including code releases and urgent troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Configure and maintain essential SQL Server processes such as monitoring solutions, backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and performance optimization routines.
  • Collaborate with application developers to provide query tuning, schema refinement, and other database-related guidance to promote efficient software delivery.
