Cost Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Analysis Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to drive business growth and improvement initiatives.

This includes partnering with key stakeholders to identify areas of cost savings, implementing new systems and software to streamline processes, and developing and maintaining detailed line and product efficiency models.

  • Partner with Managing Director and Factory Manager to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with Finance Director and Commercial Director to develop and manage robust new product launch costings tools.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have ownership of product costings and gross margin analysis by SKU, including managing gross margin analysis and providing weekly and monthly GM reports.

Additionally, they will be responsible for reconciling GM between P&L and Commercial, as well as providing ad-hoc support to management on project work or costing saving initiatives.

  • Manage gross margin analysis by SKU
  • Provide weekly and Monthly GM Reports and suggestions for improvements to GM
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess strong financial analysis skills, including experience with variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modelling.

They will also require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • 3+ Years Relevant experience as a Financial Planning and Accounting or Manufacturing Cost Accountant position within a manufacturing environment or related field.
  • Experience of Assessing and Implementing new systems and software to drive improvements and changes
Desirable Qualifications:

A Third Level Degree Qualification in Accounting & Finance or Food Science would be advantageous, as would experience working in an FMCG or food environment.

Additionally, experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, SQL, OLAP) would be beneficial.

  • Third Level Degree Qualification in Accounting & Finance
  • Or Third Level Degree Qualification in Food Science.
