The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive spray painting, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include preparing vehicles for painting, mixing and matching paint to ensure perfect colour alignment with original factory specifications, applying paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment, and performing quality checks on completed jobs.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
- Mix and match paint to achieve precise colour matches.
- Apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment, maintaining even coverage and proper thickness.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure that all work meets high standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaboration with other team members and departments is also essential to ensure timely completion of vehicles.
Requirements- Proven experience as an Automotive Spray Painter in an automotive repair setting.
- Strong knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
- Experience with water-based paint is essential.
- Able to mix and apply paint in a manner that meets high quality standards.
- Good understanding of colour theory and colour matching.
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Vocational training or certification in auto body painting is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
