Job Summary

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult clients in a home environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Management: Administer and monitor medications as prescribed by the client's healthcare team.
  • Seizure Management: Develop and implement seizure management plans for clients with a history of seizures.
  • Pain Management: Assess and manage pain levels for clients, using a range of interventions to ensure optimal pain control.
  • Dementia Training: Provide education and support to clients with dementia and their families on managing the condition.
  • Moving and Handling/Hoist and Repositioning: Ensure safe moving and handling practices for clients, including the use of hoists and repositioning equipment.
  • Skin Integrity Management: Monitor and maintain skin integrity for clients at risk of pressure injuries.
  • Professional Boundaries/Confidentiality: Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality when working with clients and their families.
  • Working in the Home Environment/Lone Worker: Work independently in the client's home, making decisions and taking actions as necessary.
  • Infection Control and Disposal of Clinical Waste: Maintain infection control standards when caring for clients, including the disposal of clinical waste.
  • CPR: Be trained in CPR and be prepared to respond in the event of an emergency.
