Job Profile

The National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh is seeking an experienced Orthotist and Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Elective Orthopaedics. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with patients requiring orthopaedic care and rehabilitation, and to contribute to the development of innovative treatments and therapies.

About the Role
This full-time position involves conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care
- Participate in clinical audits and evaluations to improve patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with CORU
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, including at least 1 year in Orthopaedics (Elective/Trauma) and/or Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
