An exceptional Assistant Manager is required to lead our team in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our shop.
This role involves taking the lead in managing a dedicated and hardworking team, focusing on operational excellence while supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store performance.
The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in providing the highest level of service to every customer while promoting a positive and inclusive working environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead, inspire, and motivate your team to consistently deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high operational standards across all areas of the shop.
- Represent the values and ethos of the company, acting as a role model for your team and actively promoting a culture that reflects the brand's identity and mission.
- Take ownership of the shop's day-to-day operations, managing workflows, assigning tasks, and ensuring procedures are followed efficiently from opening to closing.
- Assist in implementing business strategies by managing stock levels, overseeing budgets, and analyzing profit and loss performance to help meet business targets.
- E nsure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HACCP protocols, as well as adherence to relevant legal and company policies.
- Monitor and assess both individual and team performance, offering regular feedback, coaching, and training to encourage growth and maintain high service standards.
- Plan and coordinate staff rosters, ensuring adequate shift coverage and optimizing team scheduling for operational efficiency.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role, leading teams of 10 or more people in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the confidence to guide and inspire others to consistently perform at their best.
- Strong commercial awareness, with a successful background in driving performance and operational improvements within a shop setting.
- Experience in staff rota planning, task delegation, and general team management to support the flow of daily operations.
- Exceptional team-building abilities and a commitment to delivering a superior customer experience through teamwork and individual excellence.
- C apable of making sound, independent decisions in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with reading, understanding, and creating planograms to support merchandising and stock placement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
