About the RoleThis is a permanent position within a reputable organization, responsible for providing educational expertise and guidance to those affected by cochlear implants.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective educational strategies to enhance the quality of life for individuals with cochlear implants.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on educational matters related to cochlear implantation.
- Counsel and advise individuals, families, and professionals on the optimal use of cochlear implants in various settings.
- Conduct audiological assessments and provide relevant reports as required.
- Contribute to the development of training programs and resources for professionals working with cochlear implant recipients.
- Participate in counseling and information groups organized by speech and language therapists for parents of children due to be implanted.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with individuals and families to ensure ongoing support and maintenance of cochlear implant systems.
- Evaluate and monitor outcomes related to cochlear implantation, including audiological, linguistic, social, educational, and psychological aspects.
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
- Advanced degree in Education or a related field.
- Significant experience working with individuals with hearing impairments and cochlear implants.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
