Job Overview

The Senior Material Planner plays a pivotal role in developing production plans that align with customer forecasts and demand.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Loading the Master Production Schedule with customer forecast demand each month to ensure accuracy within the forecast horizon.
  • Running daily MRP checks to verify MPS/MPR accuracy in our system.
  • Generating SMT production plans on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
  • Reviewing reports from Planning, Purchasing, and Inventory departments with customers via conference calls or meetings when necessary.
  • Managing customer production orders for SMT and Backend box build.
  • Aligning production orders with the MPS demand forecast.
  • Overseeing multiple production order changes due to customer alterations, inventory shortages, and ECO modifications.
  • Releasing production orders to the warehouse for kitting and transfer to the production floor.
  • Creating CTB files for planning/purchasing review and action.
  • Coordinating customer product shipments with the Customer Services Group.
  • Generating sales orders for raw material shipments as required.
  • Reviewing customer E&O inventory and generating relevant reports.
  • Preparing weekly MRB reports by customer.
