Job Title

A firmware development role that involves creating and testing software for embedded systems.

About the Role

This position focuses on developing, testing, and debugging firmware and embedded system software. The goal is to create competitive market and customer-requirements-driven products with a focus on product quality, cost, and time-to-market.

  • This involves working with ARM/Intel-based server platform BIOS development, various subsystems on Intel x86, AMD x86, ARM architectures, and peripherals such as PCIe, SATA, USB, I2C, sensors, SPI, Flash, and DRAM.
  • The ideal candidate has experience with UEFI BIOS/GRUB, Linux secure boot, device drivers/networking stack, memory model on Intel or AMD X86 CPU architectures.
  • They must also be familiar with Linux/POSIX programming and embedded system development.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and testing firmware and embedded system software.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  3. Working closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware and hardware components.
  4. Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in firmware development.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with ARM/Intel-based server platform BIOS development.
  • Experience with UEFI BIOS/GRUB, Linux secure boot, device drivers/networking stack, memory model on Intel or AMD X86 CPU architectures.
  • Familiarity with Linux/POSIX programming and embedded system development.
