Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned firmware developer to participate in our exciting product development process. As a key member of our engineering and operations teams, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, implementing, testing, and documenting firmware running on low-power hardware platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop optimized firmware that complements lean hardware strategies to achieve the best possible performance for our innovative products.
- Contribute to product specification, co-design, and partitioning of functionality between hardware and firmware components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create fully functional systems.
- Debug and build test platforms, track and implement design improvements, and develop quality control processes.
- Electronics degree (ideally postgraduate level).
- 5-10 years of experience in firmware development on microcontrollers, ideally in the power electronics industry.
- Hardware expertise in digital, analog, non-volatile, and volatile memories.
- Debugging skills for complex semiconductor systems on a chip (SoC's), preferably in the power electronics industry.
- Strong individual contributor with a strong sense of quality of work and excellent communication skills.
- Assembly programming skills on industry-standard microcontrollers and DSP.
- Familiarity with SW/FW test methodologies and version control tools.
- Matlab/Simulink or similar high-level system simulation skills.
- Cadence or similar IC Design tools experience.
- Experience with communication standards and protocols such as SPI, I2C, SMBUS, PMBUS, USB, JTAG.
