About the Role:

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will have day-to-day responsibility for advising on legal matters relating to our activities in Ireland and abroad. This role requires expertise in providing legal advice in Ireland and/or wider Europe, with a minimum of around 5 years relevant post qualification experience (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a trusted legal advisor to our European development team and contributing to the growth of our product and presence across Europe.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and collaborating with stakeholders regarding these changes.
  • Advising on legal risk and identifying mitigants to ensure the organization's compliance and stability.
  • Providing crucial insights and leveraging local expertise to inform the consolidated group regulatory strategy.
  • Developing and implementing processes to increase the efficiency and scalability of the European Legal function.
  • Delivering training and sharing insights from your work to educate others on legal developments.
  • Managing relationships with external legal counsel and optimizing legal spend on regulatory matters.

About You:

You are passionate about consumer finance and have a genuine interest in making it safe and compliant. Your experience in advising on consumer credit, operational resilience, and managing legal projects across different jurisdictions is highly valued.

You are a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a keen problem solver who can recommend solutions that balance business and risk perspectives. Your ability to think critically and make informed decisions is essential for this role.
