Job Title: Area Operations Director

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the establishment and delivery of services in compliance with relevant policies, regulatory requirements, and service plan targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative frameworks governing Disability Services.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support for the development of new services aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

This role involves monitoring expenditure in conjunction with the Financial Controller and ensuring adherence to financial controls while maintaining accurate records.

Critical Analysis and Decision Making

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in performance monitoring, control, and evaluation processes, ensuring accountability for service delivery and operations at a local level. They will collaborate with operational managers to develop early warning systems and corrective action plans.

Team Working and Communications

This role requires developing strong team working relationships and demonstrating a proactive commitment to effective communication. The successful candidate will work closely with operational managers to provide leadership and communications support across all stakeholder groups.

Eligibility Criteria and Experience

Applicants must demonstrate extensive experience in managing complex services within the health or social care sector. A proven ability to manage and collaborate with others is essential for success in this role.
