Energy Pricing Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Pricing Manager to design tariffs for commercial and residential customers, as well as support pricing strategies.

The Job Description:
  • Design electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for commercial and residential customers
  • Prepare price information for tenders/quotes for larger customers
  • Track prices offered and benchmark Conduct competitor analysis and help us understand the market we operate in
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk Assist in the day-to-day trading activities of the company and participate in a rota executing trades for commercial customers Work with management to produce reports on commercial activities and exposures Produce tools to help automate business processes Report activities or findings in a concise and transparent manner
  • Answer price-related queries for both internal and external customers Provide trading support to our customers and serve as a point of contact Assist in providing market insights to our customer base Support the commercial sales and billing teams, working closely to resolve customer queries and ensure a high level of customer experience Assist commercial customers in their transition to renewable energy by providing guidance on solutions, including supporting Power Purchase Agreements with renewable assets and Guarantees of Origin pricing
Requirements:
  • Five years' experience in the energy industry within supply and/or generation Deep understanding of the Irish Electricity and Gas markets Extensive knowledge of electricity and gas customer pricing from first principles Be resourceful and proactive We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys having accountability and ownership while being part of a collaborative team Strong problem-solving, analysis, and attention to detail Have the ability to lead a team and mentor junior staff High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong data handling and programming skills are highly desirable with experience in tools such as Python, SQL, and PowerBI Comfortable working with large amounts of data Clear, concise, and structured communication skills Ability to follow, map, and improve processes Adaptable and flexible, able to change priorities
