Job Opportunity:
Senior Ecologist RoleWe are seeking a senior ecologist to undertake ecological surveys, liaise with clients and statutory consultees, and attend client and site meetings.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct ecological surveys including phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species scoping surveys, preliminary ecological appraisals, and ecological impact assessments.
- Liaise with clients and statutory bodies regarding project progress and requirements.
- Attend meetings with clients and at sites to ensure effective communication and coordination.
The successful candidate will produce high-quality reports for clients, requiring attention to detail, reliability, and strong organisational skills.
Flexibility and willingness to travel across Ireland with occasional overnight stays are necessary. A full driving license and own transport are required.
CIEEM accreditation is advantageous, and postgraduate experience in ecology surveys and knowledge of ArcGIS are highly beneficial.
Duties and Skills:- Ecological survey methodologies, including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species scoping surveys.
- Preliminary ecological appraisals and ecological impact assessments.
- Effective communication and liaison with clients and statutory bodies.
- Report writing and production.
- Flexibility and ability to work across Ireland with occasional overnight stays.
- Full driving license and own transport.
- Desirable: CIEEM accreditation and postgraduate experience in ecology surveys, ArcGIS knowledge.
