In-House Counsel Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and commercially savvy In-House Counsel Leader to oversee the legal function of our reinsurance operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Leverage strategic insight to inform the executive team and drive business objectives.
  • Pivot the company strategy into actionable deliverables for the in-house team.
  • Provide expert guidance on the legal implications of company operations, risk management, and growth initiatives within reinsurance.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with a strong track record in financial services.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience working in life assurance, pensions, or reinsurance markets, preferably with international exposure (reinsurance experience highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with complex transactions, such as M&A, structured financing, and asset deals.
  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services sector, including PRA/FCA/CBI regulations and US reinsurance laws.
