Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) frameworks for enterprise-scale, microservices-based applications.

  • Design end-to-end observability architecture for cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Create technical architecture diagrams and data flow maps using tools like Lucidchart or Visio.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the definition of Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets aligned with business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Architect telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry Collector and Splunk Observability Cloud.
  • Define toolchain strategy and integration roadmap for OSS tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Toolchain Strategy & Implementation:
  • Guide teams on instrumentation approaches across languages like Java, Go, Python, and .NET.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate observability into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Reliability Engineering Enablement:
  • Lead adoption of SRE principles including incident management frameworks and runbook automation.
  • Define health checks and Single Pane of Glass (SPoG) dashboards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 15+ years in IT, with 5 years in Observability/SRE architecture roles.
  • Proven experience designing architecture for microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed systems.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Splunk Observability Cloud, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus + Grafana, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
