Our team seeks a skilled Analytical Research Specialist to develop and execute advanced analytical methods for crop protection products.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our high-performing R&D group and contribute to the characterisation of substances, preparations, and co-formulants throughout the product development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, evaluate, and execute chromatographic and mass spectrometric (MS) analytical methods for complex molecules in plant protection finished products.
  • Perform detailed analysis of active substances and co-formulants in PPPs.
  • Execute physical and chemical methods to assess the performance of PPPs, including stability evaluations.
  • Analyse laboratory data and prepare comprehensive reports, providing recommendations or conclusions as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to drive business success.
Requirements
  • A recognised 3rd-level scientific qualification in a relevant science discipline, preferably analytically focused.
  • Excellent scientific knowledge and aptitude.
  • Ability to present clear and concise written reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; thrives in an environment where analyses are not routine.
  • Can perform tasks under pressure in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a strong sense of good housekeeping and adherence to laboratory safety norms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting strict timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of chromatographic analysis techniques.
  • Experience with modern instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, GC).
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Expertise with Empower and/or MassHunter software.
  • Experience in mass spectrometry (GC-MS and high-resolution LC-MS).
  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
