Job Summary

This is a technical leadership role that oversees the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications on multiple platforms.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Middleware Support: Ensure the smooth operation of middleware components such as Tomcat, Apache, and F5 (BIG-IP).
  2. SME Support: Provide expert-level support for middleware infrastructure including Tomcat, Websphere, and F5 (BIG-IP).
  3. Release Management: Coordinate testing and deployment of new version releases to production environments.
  4. Server Configuration: Configure and deploy new F5 AS3 vservers using Ansible.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with Development and Application Support teams to resolve application and usability issues.
  6. Security Integration: Implement complex security integration utilizing MSSL, mutual authentication, hardware certificates, and other security models.
  7. Troubleshooting: Participate in application environment shakedown testing and troubleshooting efforts.
  8. Documentation: Develop and maintain operations and configuration procedures.
  9. On-call Support: Provide rotational on-call support for critical systems.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with expertise in the following areas:

  • Technical Skills:
  1. Tomcat, Apache, Java, and Websphere.
  2. Intermediate knowledge of load balancers, F5 AS3, and web application firewalls.
  3. Intermediate knowledge of network, DNS, and operating system principles.
  4. Pivotal Cloud Foundry experience is a plus.
  5. Automation skills using Chef, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Soft Skills:
  1. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  2. Detail-oriented and organized individual.

The successful candidate will be responsible for information security and must abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices. They must ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed and report any suspected information security violation or breach.
