Job Overview

The Reliability Engineering Manager will oversee the efficient operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing assets in their area. This involves close collaboration with operations managers and leadership of a team of technicians to achieve 100% compliance with local regulations, quality, health safety and environment management systems and standards.

Additionally, the manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining site assets and equipment, including hardware and software.

  • Key Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive reliability engineering program for chocolate manufacturing plants.
  • Regular equipment inspections and assessments must be conducted to identify potential reliability issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Cross-functional teams should be collaborated with to establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Equipment failure data should be analyzed to identify trends and patterns and develop strategies to improve equipment reliability.
  • Breakdown analysis and root cause analysis investigations should be led to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Predictive maintenance strategies should be developed to proactively identify and address potential equipment failures.
  • Collaboration with the procurement team is necessary to ensure the availability of spare parts and necessary resources for maintenance activities.
  • Key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability should be monitored and analyzed to develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Technical guidance and support should be provided to the maintenance team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
