Apex Fire Ltd. is seeking a skilled Safety and Security Specialist to join our team.

This role involves ensuring the safety and functionality of our customers' critical systems, including installing and maintaining security systems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with our maintenance planner and service manager to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.

You will work closely with our team to provide professional on-site support and troubleshooting advice for security systems, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.

This position requires relevant experience in Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Automatic Gates and Barriers, as well as strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer relations skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English, a full clean Irish driving license, willingness to work overtime when required, Garda clearance (or the ability to pass Garda clearance), and valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain security systems, including Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV, Door Access, and Gate Automation.
  • Ensure CCTV and access control systems are networked and integrated for seamless operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues through fault-finding with security equipment, including cameras, sensors, and access systems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner and service manager to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Complete detailed reports on service checks for electrical, and security systems.
