Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

This role involves working as a Relief Social Care Worker, supporting individuals with disabilities in various settings.
The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and support service users to engage in planned activities of their choice, while also providing personal care and meeting everyday needs.
They will work in line with New Directions, promoting independence and integration into the community, and take personal responsibility for educating themselves about each service user.
The successful candidate will participate in a key worker role, working as part of a team to provide high-quality support and services.
They will maintain confidentiality at all times, liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to Service Users' Person Centred Planning meetings.
Key responsibilities include motivating and supporting service users, providing personal care, managing behaviors of concern, and building positive relationships with families and other relevant people.
They will also participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additionally, they will have strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, and be able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
