Job Title: Commis Chef
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the food preparation process, cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes, and ensuring that all kitchen and food safety standards are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with kitchen equipment and a strong understanding of food safety protocols. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the food preparation process, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Cook and prepare elements of high quality dishes, such as soups, salads, and main courses
- Ensure that all kitchen and food safety standards are maintained, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Fluent English language skills
