Compliance Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned compliance professional to lead our Compliance Function, serving as the second line of defense and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct and manage the Compliance Function to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  2. Oversee market abuse surveillance and AML/CTF/sanctions processes.
  3. Manage KYC and client onboarding activities.
  4. Assess and determine when to file Suspicious Transaction Reports.
  5. Oversee communication and engagement with relevant regulators.
  6. Ensure the organisation meets all regulatory obligations in applicable jurisdictions.
  7. Provide accurate compliance advice to business units and respond to ad hoc queries.
  8. Contribute to projects, new products, and proposals, with consideration of reputational risks.
  9. Deliver training on regulatory risks and changes.
  10. Execute a risk-based compliance monitoring programme including risk assessments, business reviews, thematic reviews, and testing.
  11. Maintain surveillance, logging, escalation, and resolution of relevant issues.
  12. Implement core compliance processes such as market conduct, gifts and entertainment, regulatory liaison, reporting, licensing, employee trading, conflicts of interest, and breach logs.
  13. Draft and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, plans, and procedures (e.g., AML/CTF & Sanctions Policy, Market Abuse Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Complaints Handling Policy, etc.).
  14. Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological developments.
  15. Produce management reports for internal committees and the Board.
  16. Mentor and develop junior compliance officers.
