We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in human-machine interaction, explainable AI, and safety-critical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
About the Role:
- Conduct research in human-machine interaction, explainable AI, and safety-critical systems.
- Collect empirical human performance data using methods such as eye tracking, physiological monitoring, and workload assessments.
- Develop and apply Bayesian networks to model complex systems.
- Publish high-quality research papers and present at conferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- PhD in Human Factors, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Research expertise in human-machine interaction, explainable AI, or safety-critical systems.
- Strong programming, data analysis, and modelling skills.
- Experience with empirical human performance data collection.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous participation in EU-funded or industry-collaborative projects.
- Familiarity with ergonomics guidelines, safety standards, or ISO/IEC technical committees for alarm management systems.
