Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced electrical design leader to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all electrical design requirements and deliverables on substation projects.

The role involves taking on a senior engineering management position on major power, renewable, and substation projects. You will identify and manage all electrical design needs, ensure compliance with technical standards, and lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality design outputs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as a team lead and substation technical expert within the engineering team.
  • Own all elements of electrical substation design, including primary design, secondary design, design calculations, and procurement specifications.
  • Allocate tasks to team members, monitor progress vs costs and program, and review and approve team submissions in advance of issue.
Requirements
  • Honors degree or higher in electrical engineering.
  • At least 8 years' industry experience.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of substation design principles and practices.
  • Proficient use of software such as AutoCAD and ePlan.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
