AI Engineer - Machine Learning Compiler and Firmware Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled AI engineer to join our team as a machine learning compiler and firmware specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the machine learning compiler, runtime firmware, and low-level RTOS stack for our best-in-class accelerator.

Job Description

As a C++ development engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing performance, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration with our hardware. You will work closely with a geographically distributed team to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.
  • Port open source operating systems, such as Zephyr, to the Hexagon architecture, enabling efficient execution of the machine learning firmware.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues related to the runtime firmware.
  • Contribute to the development of a modern C++ project using extensive template metaprogramming techniques.
  • Work independently and in a self-directed manner, while collaborating effectively with remote team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 10 or more years of experience.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ (C++17 or later) and Python.
  • Understanding of low-level embedded software, such as the Zephyr RTOS.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and compiler development is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
