Risk Management Expertise Sought

We are seeking an Executive Director to lead our Global Risk Management team within a prestigious asset management firm. Based in Dublin, the successful candidate will oversee risk governance for Irish-domiciled funds and interact with senior management, Boards, and regulators.

The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail. A proven track record of execution and delivery, as well as excellent team management and interpersonal skills, is essential.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make an impactful contribution to our team and businesses across the firm. As a key member of the GSAMFSL management team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing daily/weekly oversight for market, liquidity, and counterparty risks
  • Chairing the Risk Management Oversight Committee (RMOC) and contributing to key risk working groups
  • Interacting with senior management and Boards to ensure effective risk governance
  • Engaging with portfolio managers and traders on risk governance threshold breaches, performance drivers, and changes in risk profile and strategies
About the Role

This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management or a similar role in the financial industry. You should have detailed product and risk metric knowledge across various asset classes and keen engagement with financial markets.
