Project Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major client as a Project Lead. As part of this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading projects associated with Process Improvements, Automation, Aseptic processing, New Processing equipment with some Facility / utilities modifications to incorporate same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams for the delivery of processing equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope.
  • Develop User Requirement Specifications.
  • Evaluate vendors and complete vendor evaluation matrices.
  • Write Requests for Change (RCEs), place orders, manage project meetings and design reviews.
  • Work according to ASME BPE 2019 Standard and relevant ISPE Guidelines.
  • Coordinate the installation and services hook up of processing equipment, working with Equipment Vendors and Engineering personnel.
  • Lead project team participation in Factory Acceptance Testing programs.
  • Coordinate all equipment documentation requirements.
  • Provide engineering support during commissioning and qualification.
Requirements:
  • Senior automation/systems engineering or project engineering experience in Pharma, Life Sciences or Medical Devices manufacturing environments.
  • Proven project management experience with successful project delivery in similar industries.
  • Strong technical ability in automation systems engineering.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently and articulate specific functional requirements for all project aspects.
  • Excellent team leadership skills and ability to collaborate with various departments within an organization.
Person Specification:
  • Third-level qualification in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in Biologics, Pharma, Life Sciences or Medical Devices manufacturing environments.
  • Desirable: project management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Located in the Mayo area or willing to relocate within a short time frame.
  • Available for occasional travel.
