Environmental Leadership Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Ecologist to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality environmental services.
This role is best suited to candidates with a minimum of 4/5 years post-graduate experience in ecological consultancy who are looking to take on leadership responsibilities and drive project delivery and client engagement forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ecology contracts and ensure the highest standards of consultancy services.
- Provide ecological input into projects including wind farms, road schemes and commercial developments.
- Conduct and oversee ecological fieldwork and species/habitat surveys.
- Prepare and review Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
- Lead the preparation of Appropriate Assessments (AA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and Biodiversity chapters for EIARs.
- Write and review detailed technical reports.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of deliverables.
- Engage with clients and multi-disciplinary teams on project planning and design.
Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology or related discipline.
- Minimum 4/5 years' relevant post-graduate experience in consultancy.
- Full membership (or eligibility) of CIEEM, CIWEM or similar professional body.
- Strong technical report writing and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
- Full clean driving licence required for site travel.
