Site Management Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to oversee the execution of a large-scale retail fit-out project in East London. This is a 6-month contract with a specialist fit-out contractor responsible for delivering high-end retail environments.

As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing site operations, ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently. You will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery, maintain high-quality standards in line with project specifications and client expectations, and monitor project progress addressing issues and reporting to the Project Manager.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to achieve smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in line with project specifications and client expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and implement best practices on-site.
  • Monitor project progress, address issues, and report to the Project Manager.
  • Oversee materials management and logistics to maintain project timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in fit-out projects, ideally in retail or commercial spaces.
  • Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes, materials, and finishes.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure smooth site operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience working on large-scale retail fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in fast-track fit-out environments.
