Senior Psychologist Job Description

This Senior Psychologist role is a vital part of our interdisciplinary team, providing psychological services to children and young persons aged 0-18 years and their families. As a senior member, you will be responsible for assessing and intervening in clinical situations, providing supervision and ongoing service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized university degree or diploma in psychology and an Irish postgraduate professional qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland. They will also possess at least five years' satisfactory postgraduate experience in professional psychology and demonstrate competence in the Care Group applied for.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to children and families
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Recognized university degree or diploma in psychology
  • Irish postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland
  • At least five years' satisfactory postgraduate experience in professional psychology
  • Competence in the Care Group applied for
