Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Job

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team delivering mental health services throughout Ireland.

About the Role

This role involves providing expert care for children and adolescents with mental disorders, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, diagnose, and treat mental disorders in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrate evidence-based clinical knowledge in decision-making regarding client care.
  • Display effective planning and organizing skills.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and service users.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Treat patients, relatives, and colleagues with dignity and respect.
Requirements
  • Be registered with or in the process of registering with the Irish Medical Council with Specialist registration.
  • Demonstrate expertise in investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Showcase clinical knowledge in making decisions regarding client care.
  • Exhibit effective planning and organizing skills.
  • Highlight effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Show empathy when treating patients, relatives, and colleagues.

The successful candidate will be required to meet objectives delivering high-quality consultant-led mental health services.
