Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead project teams and interact with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

The ideal candidate would have experience running projects in the biotechnology industry or aseptic pharmaceutical environment, with strong leadership capabilities and hands-on experience in technical roles within high-volume manufacturing environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project planning, execution, prioritization, resource management, status updates, and external communication.
  • Working with stakeholders to scope projects and ensure requirements are met.
  • Managing expectations and communicating project progress and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Developing and reviewing engineering technical specifications and bid documents for engineered equipment, materials engineering, and construction service contracts.
  • Leading day-to-day design and construction management of project works, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Providing engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment within manufacturing facilities.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure installations and deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinating the introduction of new equipment and driving the project team problem-solving and troubleshooting process prior to qualification & start-up.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Typically 5+ years project management/engineering experience, preferably in the biotechnology industry/aseptic pharmaceutical environment.
  • Proven project management experience from project inception through to handover.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, delivering technical solutions and implementing improvements.

The successful candidate must have an eligible working visa in Ireland or a European Union (EU) passport.
