Job Summary

We seek a Senior Datacenter Mechanical Engineer to oversee the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role requires expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and telecommunications facilities.
  • Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analysis and availability calculations for fit-for-use/fit-for-service determination.
  • Support construction and commissioning works as Resident Engineer and partner with Operations teams during data center operational lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills and solid data center mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural (MEPS) infrastructure design engineering experience.
  • In-depth understanding of data center design, engineering, and operations of infrastructure common to data centers, telecommunications facilities, and other critical environment infrastructure.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 50%.
