Chief Operations Officer Job Description:

This position oversees the day-to-day financial responsibilities and supervises staff management, human resources, facilities, office equipment, maintenance contracts, IT infrastructure, and case management systems. It also involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing fees, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and overseeing social events, company website, and online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance in finance and operations.
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure health and safety standards are met.
  • Manage accounts, reconciliations, credit control, and fee generation.
  • Supervise allocation of work to staff and coordinate temporary staff sourcing.
  • Oversee human resources, including recruitment, training, and induction processes.
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure and manage case management systems.
  • Organize social events and maintain company website and online presence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Desirable: previous experience in a legal practice.
  • Essential: staff management experience.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to take responsibility and act on own initiative.
  • Professionally committed to excellence in approach to work.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Capacity to communicate effectively.
  • Awareness of sensitive information and need for discretion.
