The role of Director Data Centre Capacity Delivery is a crucial one in the team responsible for building and supporting Amazon's industry-leading data centers.

With a focus on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness, this senior leadership position oversees the delivery of new data centers, upgrades of existing facilities, and implementation of critical building management systems across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities include executing data center construction at scale while meeting strict quality, safety, and timeline requirements, leading and developing a technical team across multiple disciplines, managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations, overseeing project budgets and cost controls, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and permitting requirements, driving innovation in construction and operational efficiency, and collaborating with internal partners.

This position demands expertise in construction management, technical systems, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction management, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale MEP projects and 5 years of experience leading technical teams.

Additional qualifications include demonstrated experience with electrical systems design and implementation, mechanical cooling systems, and proven experience managing general contractors and vendors in construction projects. Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are also desirable.

The Director DCCD leads their regional team's actions using broad expertise and unique knowledge, country by country, that contributes to the development of objectives and principles to achieve business goals on a regional scale.
