Lead Structural Precast Engineer Opportunity

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of precast concrete technology, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale structural projects.

This role involves leading the structural design and engineering of precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, slabs, and wall panels. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed structural analysis and load calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with Irish and European standards.

As a Lead Structural Precast Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and optimize precast concrete solutions tailored to project requirements. This includes overseeing the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, as well as managing the production process by coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency in the fabrication of precast elements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the structural design and engineering of precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, slabs, and wall panels.
  2. Perform detailed structural analysis and load calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with Irish and European standards.
  3. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and optimize precast concrete solutions tailored to project requirements.
  4. Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  5. Manage the production process by coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency in the fabrication of precast elements.
  6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
  7. Ensure projects meet all relevant regulations, safety standards, and client expectations.
  8. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful and timely delivery of projects.
  9. Review and approve designs, shop drawings, and structural calculations.
  10. Liaise with clients to provide technical support, address concerns, and present design solutions.
  11. Conduct site visits to monitor installation, address issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
