
Automation System Specialist

This role is crucial for managing and enhancing complex manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on support for site activities related to PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, ensuring seamless operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and EHS teams, leveraging expertise to drive results.
- Implement code modifications as needed, applying technical knowledge to optimize system performance.
- Provide accurate updates on task and project progress, maintaining open communication channels.
- Support testing, debugging, and documentation for control system installations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Assist in integrating control systems with data historians (e.g., PI) and MES, driving data-driven decision making.
- Manage system backups and user accounts, maintaining system integrity and security.
- Contribute to Data Integrity and compliance programs, upholding regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project teams and departments to develop and troubleshoot automation solutions, fostering innovation and best practices.
- Provide technical support for feasibility studies and field trials, applying technical expertise to inform business decisions.
- Support all stages of qualification (e.g., writing and executing test scripts, working with validation teams), ensuring product quality and compliance.
- Participate in the rollout of new processes, including recipe development, driving continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for site control systems, ensuring standardized processes and procedures.
- Create and deliver training for identified users to ensure proper system usage, promoting user adoption and proficiency.
- Cross-train team members to build department-wide automation knowledge, driving a culture of collaboration and shared expertise.
- Ensure proper documentation of activities, including SOP logs, EHS records, and logbooks, maintaining a paper trail for audits and compliance.
- Ensure all activities comply with quality standards, cGMP, EHS policies, and regulatory requirements, upholding industry standards.
- Prepare reports related to deviations, investigations, and system changes, providing actionable insights for process improvement.
- Support internal audits and inspections where relevant, demonstrating commitment to quality and compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Uphold Takeda-ism values in daily work, embodying a culture of excellence and integrity.
- Foster a strong safety culture in collaboration with colleagues, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.
- Respond to on-call or call-out situations as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
