Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design and Technical Specialist to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will work alongside structural engineers and architects to create proposals and manufacturing drawings for light gauge steel frames, panels, pods, and structural projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with in-house structural engineers and detailers to develop and refine our design process and build systems.
  • Produce high-quality 2D & 3D models, concept drawings using CAD software.
  • Create fabrication drawings and details for CAM production equipment.
  • Evaluate design work to ensure compliance with industry standards and buildability.
  • Manage technical submissions for various system uses on each project.

Requirements

  • A degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction, or Engineering is required.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and the BCAR process is essential.
  • Excellent design and communication skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and universal design principles is desirable.
  • Practical experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and BIM, is a must.
