Electrical Design Expert Wanted

We seek a skilled Electrical Design Expert to work on major data centre and critical systems projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs for electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive electrical system designs, including MV, LV, essential power, back-up power, and life safety services
  • Manage engineering designs in line with client briefs and project requirements
  • Review and provide feedback on junior staff designs
  • Monitor project resources and advise colleagues on resourcing needs
  • Contribute to project management, including commercial and financial management, quality assurance, environmental, and health and safety procedures
  • Provide training and coaching to junior staff, promoting professional development
  • Represent the company at marketing events and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Support the preparation of project submissions and fee bids
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to practice-wide technical initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng)
  • Chartered Engineer status or potential for Chartership
  • Proven track record in delivering multiple large-scale critical infrastructure projects
  • Experience in design coordination with other disciplines, proficient in software such as Amtech, ETAPS, or SKM power analysis tools
  • Ability to produce schematic diagrams, fault studies, specifications, project reports, conduct site inspections, and detail design development
  • A collaborative leader who shares knowledge and expertise, contributing to team development
