Job Title: Chief Recovery and Resolution StrategistRole Purpose:

To develop and implement effective recovery and resolution plans for distressed entities, assessing their financial viability and advising on potential strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough financial analysis to evaluate the viability of distressed entities and develop tailored resolution strategies.
  • Plan Implementation and Maintenance: Implement and maintain comprehensive recovery and resolution plans for business units and entities, ensuring continuity of critical services during distress.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Analyze financial data to assess liquidity risks and ensure the implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies.
Additional Duties:
  • Framework Management: Oversee Barclays Financial Crisis Management Framework and maintain the Group Recovery Plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Resolution Capabilities: Maintain resolution capabilities across the Group, coordinating regulatory disclosures and public announcements in the UK and Europe.
  • Governance and Assurance: Ensure robust controls, governance, and assurance processes are in place to meet regulatory expectations.
Leadership Expectations:
  • Business Function Management: Manage a significant business function, contribute to strategic initiatives, and influence policy and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a large team or sub-function, promoting a performance culture and coaching less experienced staff.
  • Senior Advisory Role: Provide expert advice to senior management and committees, shaping organizational decisions.
